Position SummaryPerforms a variety of tasks related to custodial and cleaning services before an event, during an event, and after an event. Also responsible for routine trash removal and facility clean up. Ability to work odd or unusual hours, split shifts, or holidays in preparing for an event. Ability to perform routine custodial and minor maintenance work in the cleaning and care of the facilities.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.

A state-of-the-art facility featuring cutting edge concepts in aquatic design, the GAC is located on the campus of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, the premier sports and entertainment facility in the Southeast. Built at a cost of nearly $19 million, the GAC brings together all major aquatic sports - competitive swimming and diving, water polo, synchronized swimming and other unique sports - all in one venue. The GAC's versatility offers Greensboro the opportunity to host high school and collegiate events, USA Swimming meets, U.S. Masters Swimming and U.S. Water Polo events as well as myriad local, regional, national and international competitions. The GAC's impressive national swim meet resume includes numerous NCAA, ACC, YMCA and USA Diving competitions. According to the Greensboro Convention & Visitors Bureau, the estimated economic impact of GAC events exceeds $224 million.
Responsibilities- Mix and prepare cleaning products; clean facility interior and exterior; vacuum, sweep, mop, clean and wax floors.
- Ensures a safe environment for patrons; removes liquids and debris from walkways through the building during events.
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures; replenish supplies in restrooms. Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and countertops.
- Remove and dispose of debris from parking lots and walkways; empty waste receptables.
- Perform additional staff functions for events.
- All employees will exercise resource stewardship and report known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance.
- Required to follow OSHA and in house safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of related work experience cleaning multiple facilities.
- Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, methods, supplies and equipment.
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive custodial tasks without immediate supervision.
- Ability to walk the entire shift , stoop, bend, twist, climb stairs, and lift/push up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Required to successfully complete on site CPR and blood borne pathogen training.
